Gehrke Yacht Services handled the lithium battery upgrade on our 2008 Leopard 46. I’m the third owner of this boat, and there were many ancillary upgrades made over the years, resulting in a spaghetti-like wiring situation. Paul eliminated all the unused and unworking tech and installed a Victron-based battery bank that looks like it should be included in a Victron brochure.

It is so much easier now to figure out the electrical system, made more so with the electrical schematic representing the new install on my boat. Since then, if I need help with a project beyond my ability to complete on my own, Gehrke Yacht Services is my first call.

We were on our way to the Bahamas, on a trip we had been planning for months.  We were to pick up a crew member for the trip in south Florida, in waters I was very unfamiliar with.  That’s when we suffered a trip ending causality, the anchor windless and bow thruster systems quit working.  It was late in the evening and we were drifting in the ICWW, heavy traffic, and no slips available anywhere.  So, I called Paul at Gehrke yacht services.  I was frantic. The first thing that came to mind was postponing or canceling our trip. After talking to Paul for a few minutes, he assured me we could fix the problem. The calmness in his voice made me feel better.  I did a video call and he told me what tools I would need and the steps to get us squared away.  I followed his instructions, and within 15 minutes he had discovered the problem and told me how to fix it. He ended the session with words of encouragement, and said, if you have any more trouble, I’m just a phone call away.  Now that’s what I call service.
